O FATOR CÚBICO para se ter uma idéia da velocidade e flutuabilidade de planadores, e para fazer ESCALAS :
Utilizei este cálculo a partir de uma revista americana que tratou do tema de modelagem em escala, ou seja, como saber se seu modelo vai ter um vôo parecido com o avião "de gente".
O que acontece muito no aeromodelismo, principalmente com motores a explosão, é o cara botar um super motor num escala de J3, o bicho sai pesadíssimo, e então o vôo mais se parece com o de um caça do que com o J3 bonachão que conhecemos.
Isto tem a ver com a relação peso x área x envergadura.
O cara conseguiu reduzir numa fórmula, e após alguns anos de pesquisa minha cheguei nos valores para uso em planadorismo, que até hoje não me deu vexames :
TERMAL : Fator em torno de 800g/m3
ZAGI/COLINEIRO : Fator em torno de 1400g/m3
PSS/DS : Fator em torno de 2500g/m3
Claro que um termal com fator abaixo de 800g/m3 vai flutuar ainda mais; assim como um PSS com fator acima de 2500 vai ser um chumbo e muito veloz.
A fórmula é assim :
Fator = peso/(env x env x corda)
peso em gramas (massa)
env e corda e metros
corda entende-se por corda média.
Exemplo, um minitérmico tem estas medidas comumente :
1500 mm env
170mm corda
300 gramas peso
fator = 300/(1,5 x 1,5 x 0,17) = 784g/m3
A fórmula é muito interessante para se prever o peso fazendo uma escala.
No exemplo acima, se quiséssemos fazer o mesmo modelo com 3 metros, qual seria o peso para ter um comportamento parecido ?
Descobrindo a corda :
170/1500 = 0,1133
0,1133 x 3000 = 340mm
Virando a fórmula para obter o peso :
peso = 784 x 3 x 3 x 0,340
peso = 2399 gramas = 2,4kg, que é o peso de um F3J.
........
Planks e asas voadoras.
Como sabemos uma boa parte da área de uma asa voadora não é utilizada para sustentação, e sim como profundor.
Então para usar este cálculo em asas voadoras precisa subtrair um pedaço da área. Para isto , cheguei empiricamente a um fator - de 0,8 - a ser colocado no denominador, ficando assim :
fator cúbico planks = peso / (env x env x corda x 0,8 )
