There's a 'Saturno V.3 "slowly building from scratch from a downloaded plan in Canada.

Has been delayed by other domestic commitments but hopefully work will resume early in the New Year.

Hope everyone had a very good Christmas .. in the sun?

Jim.

This weekend I attended the 'Empire State Championships' at Geneseo, New York - sun, light variable winds and temperatures from 30C- 34C.

This was my first opportunity to trim the Saturno V3 up to maximum power and I was most impressed with its stability - at no time I did have to alter the thrustline or make any other trim adjustment, as the power increased it merely went higher ... faster.

I am happy to tell you that it took 1st place in the P30 event with a perfect score - the only P30 to do so.

Jim you have no ideia how that makes me proud. I am very glad the model flew as it should and combined with your experience and knoledge lead you to a first place with a clean score. Congratulations!

Were there any hi-tec models? I would like to know how Saturno compares to them.

Not that I saw - and personally I feel the gradual swing to hi-tec is contrary to the concept of P30

'Majestyk' was a popular choice - at least three of them noted in one flyer's box, and several others seen in the air. A venerable 'Teacher's Pet' was seen sailig well away for an easy max, too.
